About Us
The County of Sacramento owns and manages three championship golf courses and one nine-hole executive golf course for residents and visitors to enjoy. Managed by the Department of Regional Parks, Recreation and Open Space, the courses offer a variety of settings and designs for a wide range of player skills. Because each course resides near or within a regional park, it is not uncommon for players to share a fairway with turkey, deer, geese and other wildlife. Each course is operated by a regional golf management company under contract with the County of Sacramento.
Ancil Hoffman Golf Course and Cherry Island Golf Course are operated by Empire Golf Management, while Mather Golf Course is operated by Course Co Inc.
Our mission:
To offer the highest quality public golf course facilities and services to the widest range of County residents and visitors, at affordable prices.
